Lake Leelanau is a quaint Northern Michigan town accessible by water. Here, you can go ashore and enjoy wine tastings, at the Northern Latitudes Distillery, or grab a to-go meal to eat on the boat from one of the local restaurants.

Cedar River
Explore the mouth of the Cedar River where it meets Lake Leelanau. This is a seldom-visited part of the lake that hosts a variety of wildlife including loons and bald eagles. This corner of the lake is also a great place to explore the history of Lake Leelanau and examine its former history as a logging area, examining the root structures of largely intact trees that were logged decades ago.
